Aniplex reports that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc the Movie: Part 1 – Akaza Sairai has achieved record-breaking box office performance, drawing over 9.1 million viewer and generating more than 12.8 billion (approximately $80 million USD) in ticket sales within just 10 days of it theatrical release in Japan.

Released as the highly anticipated continuation of the Demon Slayer anime series, the film focuses on the intense and emotional battle between the Upper Rank demon Akaza, delivering a cinematic experience that has captivated both longtime fans and new audience alike.

This achievement places Infinity Castle: Part 1 among the top-performing films of the year in Japan and showcases the massive global popularity of the Demon Slayer franchise, which has consistently broken records since the release of Mugen Train in 2020.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc the Movie: Part 1 – Akaza Sairai is currently being shown on 443 screens across Japan, which is the most ever for any series. This includes special IMAX showing as well.

Outside of Japan, Aniplx plans to release the film in over 150 countries and regions making it the bigest international rollout for the franchise, which is more than the previous global tour for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train.

In the U.S. and Canada, Crunchyroll, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Aniplex will bring the movie to theathers starting September 12, and will be available in IMAX and other premium large formats, and fans can choose to watch it in either English dub or English subtitles.
