At Anime Expo 2025, GeeXPlus, an influencer talent agency under Dwango and Kadokawa, announced during its panel that it has launched a new division called GeeXProductions, focused on original IP projects. Their first project is an anime short film titled Bâan -The Boundaries of Adulthood- (Bâan -Otona no Kyōkai-), created by popular anime YouTuber and influencer Gigguk.

The short film will premiere in theaters at Grand Cinema Sunshine in Ikebukuro, Tokyo on August 24. It will then be released on Gigguk’s YouTube channel, along with a behind-the-scenes feature. The YouTube release will include both Japanese and English dubbed versions.

The staff for the production includes Yoshimitsu Ohashi as the director (directed Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture) at Studio daisy. Kevin Penkin (composer for The Rising of The Shield Hero, and The Apothecary Diaries) is composing the music.

GeeXProductions describes the anime as:

The story centers two protagonists named Arai Daichi and Rinrada Ratchamanee, searching for a place where they belong. The story is set in two worlds: the Japan in the real world, and the fictional world of Euthania, which are connected by each other throuigh a warp gate. Arai Daichi, a 21-year-old man who has conflicts with his family, seeks to run away as far as he can to Euthania. Meanwhile, Rinrada Ratchamanee, a 19-year-old Euthanian, sets out from her village to connect with Japan.

The anime will star Haruna Mikawa as Rin and Shoya Ishige as Daichi.
